Just Some Pics

I didn't really have a cohesive blog post - but I did have a lot of pictures - so I though I would just throw them all on here to show what we've been doing lately! After 2 solid weeks of calling every Home Improvement store in a 30 mile radius...I finally got my porch swing! The stores were all sold out. That is exactly what happened to me last year - only they never got more in! I was determined not to have to go another year without a swing, so I became that customer until I got what I wanted! Yippee! A porch swing!! Mike and Mason put it together for me. Mike is such a patient dad...Mason was more of a mess maker than a swing builder! The finished product. Mason and I have spent hours in it this week! We love it!

Here is my sweet guy reading me a story. He is really beginning to get fascinated with numbers, and can count to 10 with very little help. His favorite numbers are 2, 6, 9 and 10. He points them out whenever he sees them. I had this same counting book when I was little - it brings back memories!

Mike mixed up some homemade bubble solution and blew bubbles with Mason in the backyard for a little bit. When he left to get some work done the fun continued - and ended up in Mason's hair.

Trying to figure out how to blow bubbles.

Giving up and making a mess instead.

Bubbles in the hair are more fun than bubbles in the air.

After a bath this kid was knocked out. He actually fell asleep in my lap! He NEVER does that!

After some naps for Mom and Mason we headed back outside. Mason loves to swing high with Mike. And on a funny note, he has started yelling, "Mike!" when he is in another room and wants Mike's attention. I guess he has heard me do that a few times!

We FINALLY got Mason's room all done. We went with a car theme since he loves cars so much. He was so excited to see his new bright red truck on the wall. He kept saying, "Red, Truck" over and over. Here are a few pics! I took these at night so they are a little dark. The room is much brighter during the day.

I just had to get this sign that reads, "Handyman Available" to go over Mason's work bench. Anytime Mike does anything with tools, Mason will run and get his own tools to help out. He will be a great handyman someday - just like his dad.

We were running out of space on our fridge for all of Mason's artwork. I decided to make an art wall for him in his room so we can look at his pictures all the time! He loves pointing out the animals, shapes and colors.

That's all for now! I hope to be blogging a bit more in the next few weeks to get caught up and keep everyone posted. I am busy working on the nursery and hope to have that done in the next couple of weeks. It seems like April will be a busy month! Stay tuned!

32 Weeks!!

Last week marked the 8 month point of the pregnancy! It really seems like it will be no time before we have another munchkin here at the house. I decided to leave town and visit some family - since it would probably be my last opportunity to do so. I also took advantage of some free babysitting via Memaw and Dedaw and got some shopping done! I bought some more maternity clothes because virtually NOTHING fits me anymore. I also bought some things for Eva's nursery so we can start getting that all together. We had a fun trip - but we are glad to be back home, too!

Here we are at 32 weeks!
Bare Belly time!
One with Mason. I had to wrestle him just to get a quick picture! This kid is always on the go.
We got to spend the morning with cousins Avery and Kendall last Thursday. We went to the park in their neighborhood. Mason LOVES to swing - and would have stayed there all day if I had let him!
He also loves being outside. We played in the yard and Memaw and Dedaw's house after lunch. The weather was perfect. Since it was St Patrick's day we hunted for some leprechauns but didn't find any!
"Smelling" a dandelion
Mike calls this one Mason's GQ Model pose. He looks like he should be on a billboard. In reality, he was just running to try and grab the camera from me!
On Friday we got to play with more friends when we went to visit my friend Leslie who just had her 3rd baby - and only boy! Of course, the toys we all girl toys, but we still had a great time playing! Her kiddos are so sweet. And Mason rocked this tiara.
Saturday we got to spend some time with more cousins when they came to town for a visit! We went out to the farm and got to spend some quality time outdoors. Here are the girls on the gator at the farm.
Mike and Mason had so much fun on the tire swing.
Mike took Mason for a short ride on the gator, too. I don't know if you can tell, but Mason had a HUGE smile on his face the whole time! He even got to help his dad steer.
Mike, Mason, Bailey and Braden and I all went out for a ride too! We drove all over and had so much fun. Here is Mason helping Mike drive.
Flying through the field on the gator!
Look at that happy face!
Sugar the dog even came along for the ride. She ran right along the gator and never got tired. That is one happy dog.
An action shot of Sugar. Not one paw on the ground!
We went through some really beautiful scenery.
A group shot! No, that's not a toupee on my head...that's my hair. A big gust of wind blew in just as Mike snapped the picture. Nice.
We are busy getting the nursery arranged and organized. Hopefully we can work hard and then rest for the next few weeks until we welcome this baby girl!
