Easter and One Last Trip to the Zoo

This last weekend we decided to take one last trip to the zoo. It is finally starting to feel like we are moving - and I am getting a little emotional! There have been many ups and downs while living in California, but we have made friends to last a lifetime, and memories to last forever.
Saturday we headed out to the zoo - we were very excited because Mason is finally to an age where he is interested in animals. He LOVED it! We looked at the koalas, giraffes, gorillas, meerkats, tigers, and the list goes on! I think his favorite was the meerkats. They were very active and close.
We had a great Easter Egg Hunt later that day at some friends' house. They have a beautiful backyard and home. They gave each child a different kind of Easter egg to hunt. Then the parent's hid their own child's eggs. That way everyone gets the same amount! Mason's was jellybean shaped. I thought that was so perfect since we called him our little jellybean before he was born! Mason got a basket full of eggs, and the hosts even made Easter baskets for Mason, Mike and me! They are such sweet, generous people. Mason got lots of candy and came home with $15 in cash. Way to go bud!

Here are his new jammies. We got him some Cowboy jam jams since we are heading back to cowboy country! The feet of the pajamas are cowboy boots. So cute!

Mike and Mason check out the giraffes.

Heading Home! Mason was having a bottle in his stroller and his new frog Filmore was along for the ride! (by the way, the name was on the tag...we didn't come up with it ourselves. haha).

EASTER EGG HUNT! GO GETTUM MASON!

This was on Easter Sunday. I just love how Mason is smiling at Mike!

My Boys

Family pic! This time last year Mason was still in my tummy!

Making silly faces in the grass. He kept everyone at the Egg Hunt laughing because he is really into making ridiculous silly faces. That's my boy!
Cute Easter overalls

Here is a video of the Egg Hunt. You can hear my friend Leah in the background yelling at her husband...priceless.

Cute! We need some of those cowboys jammies! I know what you mean about being emotional. We are thrilled to be moving back to Texas, but saying goodbye is always hard...especially to your church family. :(
